in 1976 Barbara Walters was the first woman to co-anchor network morning and evening broadcasts.
- Barbara Walters News Anchor, Television Producer,Journalist
- Born September 25, 1929(age 84) Boston, Massachusetts
- Went to Sarah Lawrence College

- Barbara is going to be 85 and looks great.

- FYI:
- Barbara had an older sister, Jackie, was thought to be “slow.”Jackie may have been autistic, but at the time, Walters’ family didn’t know it.
- What Barbara did know early on was a sense of responsibility.

- Also Barbara’s Father , Lou Walters, was a vaudeville booking agent who produced Broadway’s Ziegfeld Follies of 1943 starring Milton Berle. He owned the Latin Quarter, a small chain of prestigious night clubs in Boston, New York, and Miami Beach. In its 1940s and ’50s heyday, entertainment at the Latin Quarter included high-kicking chorus girls and big-ticket acts from Jack Benny to Tony Bennett. New York’s Latin Quarter is now an Olive Garden restaurant.
