Rosalyn Kahn is a Los Angeles area college professor who teaches English as a Second Language and frequently speaks on her experiences with students and their learning. In the context of the TEDxConejoSalon, which focused on the arts and education, she spoke of the impact of theater on her students learning.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. Rosalyn Kahn is a Public Speaking Professor at Santa Monica College and Los Angeles City College. She is also a Motivational Speaker.

Ms. Kahn has been an educator for the last 17 year teaching Public Speaking, English as Second Language in colleges and high schools throughout Southern CA. Two year ago, she attended her first TedX conference in Pasadena. She was immediately drawn into the Tedx fever.

Since that event, she helped organize the 2nd Tedx Event working on the experiential committee and thereafter followed her expertise to coach six Tedx speakers from Nov. – December in 2012. She began her business Coaching and Professional Speaking nearly a year and half ago.

Last year Rosalyn has spoken at over 40 different organizations from Storytelling Club, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Queen Anne’s Home Los Angeles, Brentwood Library, Felicia Mayhood Senior Center, Southwest Manuscripters, and 12th Annual Children’s Festival. She has spoken on college campuses to Phi Beta Kappa, Eco Action Club and Student Veterans, Santa Monica Police Department This year she added about 15 more talks in the last month branching out to form a relationship with SCORE and also working with clients in the hospitality, real estate and Coaching Executives in Athletic world at major So. CA universities.

Six weeks ago her debut book “How Random Acts of Kindness are Changing the World” by Solutions Press was released on Amazon. This week her book is being carried in Alice’s Quiet Mind Bookstore in Culver City, and both Wyler’s Restaurant in and Perk’s Coffee House in Northidge. She will be doing a book signing on 6/14 in Northridge at Perk’s Coffee House in Northridge. She is also scheduled to discuss her book at Conscious Voices Gateway in Culver City on 6-28
