Tom Hanks Best Actor nomination, was snubbed by Academy voters.  I think he was amazing!  CCWOscar overlooksLeonardo DiCaprio was a surprise Best Actor nominee, (he sure was, in my opinion. ccw)  knocking out some distinguished competition; Emma Thompson, she was also overlooked for her performance in ‘Saving Mr. Banks’; Paul Greengrass was expected to be nominated for directing ‘Captain Phillips,’ but wasn’t.

Robert Redford’s critically lauded performance in ‘All Is Lost’ was also overlooked.  I overlooked it myself. CCW

Oprah Winfrey and Forest Whitaker in ‘Lee Daniel’s The Butler’ were both shut out – as was the civil rights drama in general.  I am very annoyed at this. ccw 

 ‘Her’ was nominated for Best Picture, but star Joaquin Phoenix was over- looked.  I liked his performance…I’m just sayin’. ccw
