When it’s cold outside, I absolutely love a warming cocktail like this. The recipe below is for a fairly standard Manhattan, but what makes it special are the cherries. Luxardo cherries are considered the absolute best and they transform this (or any) cocktail into something truly special.
Before serving, just add a single cherry along with a spoonful of the syrup and stir. Other cherries will work but I am telling you, these cherries are incredible. Try them here and let me know what you think!
2 ounces bourbon or rye
1 ounce sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters
Garnish: Luxardo cherry
Add to a glass with ice and stir. You can serve it with the ice, or strain it out once the cocktail is chilled.
