There are lot of things about aging I can handle, but Turkey Neck is not one of them.
Watch out, if you are in your 40s Turkey Neck could be right around the corner.
First of all, why in God’s name does this happen?
Turns out the skin on your neck is thinner than your face which makes it more susceptible to aging. It also has a different composition of collagen than your face, which is the protein that keeps your skin looking tight and firm.
To make matters worse, your neck is often more exposed to the sun, causing further damage.
There is hope, you can prevent turkey neck.
First, wear an SPF on your neck every time you leave the house.
Second, it’s never too soon to start using a neck firming cream morning and night.
I personally have two favorites.
Omorovicza Intensive Hydra-Lifting Cream
Strivectin Tightening Neck Cream
My research also uncovered neck exercises that tighten and tone the loose skin around the neck. I had never heard of this before, but I am willing to give it a try.
You lay flat with a small pillow under your head. Then use your neck muscles to lift your head about four inches off the pillow ten times. Do not use your abdominal muscles, that’s cheating! Then lay on your right side and repeat and then your left side and repeat.
